Schedule Overview
A full detailed schedule will be provided once you have access to Canvas.
DAILY OVERVIEWHere is a typical day at Bridge (all times are approximate):
7:30-8:30 am: Breakfast, Byrne Hall
8:30–11:45 am: Morning classes (with AM break)
11:45 am–1:15 pm: Lunch Break and Career Development Programs
1:15–4:30 pm: Afternoon classes (with PM break)
5–7 pm: Dinner
5–9:30 pm: Study Group meetings/Capstone workReview a sample schedule of the full program.
Students earn a certificate upon completion of the intensive three-week program, which requires more time commitment than a full-time job. Expect 50-60 hours of program involvement per week (class and evening study group time). All Bridge classes/events are scheduled in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) and students are required to be present for all synchronous (live) programming. For these reasons, students cannot attend Bridge if they have a concurrent job, internship, or if they are participating in other classes (ie. Dartmouth Sophomore Summer).
You will be busy with homework, study group meetings, and review sessions in the evenings. During the program, you will work on a comprehensive valuation project. The project concludes with presentations on the last day of the program, right before the Bridge graduation luncheon.
In order to satisfactorily complete the program, you must be present at the project presentations on the morning of the last day. There is a closing Graduation luncheon after the presentations. The program will conclude around 1pm. Families are welcome to attend the final presentations and the graduation luncheon. Please RSVP with the Bridge Program office if you plan to have guests on the last day.
-
Attendance Policy
Full participation in Bridge is expected and required in order to receive a completion certificate.
Attendance at class and study group meetings is mandatory, unexcused absences will not be tolerated.
In the event of illness or extenuating circumstances please notify a Bridge staff member prior to your absence. Students are also responsible for communicating absences to faculty, your BA, and study group, as well as completing any missed work. If your situation requires you to miss multiple classes, consult a Bridge staff member immediately. Failure to adhere to this attendance policy may result in dismissal from the program without a completion certificate.
ON-CAMPUS INFORMATION
-
Meals
You will be given a meal card at registration that can be used at any Dartmouth dining facility currently open on campus. This card has an allocated amount of money on it to last the entire program. If you use up your monetary allotment prior to the end of the program you will be responsible for covering the rest of your meals. Meals are normally eaten in Byrne Hall, Tuck’s dining facility, except on the weekends. Some meals will be at other locations at Tuck.
-
Lodging
During Winter Bridge, Dartmouth students with approved fall and/or winter housing will apply for interim housing on DartHub’s Housing StarPortal to stay in your undergraduate on-campus housing assigned by the Dartmouth Housing Office. For those students not confirmed for living on-campus in the fall and/or winter, you will stay at the Hanover Inn Dartmouth for an additional subsidized charge of $3,000, unless you have made alternative housing arrangements.
Non-Dartmouth students, and Dartmouth students not living on-campus in the fall and/or winter, will have lodging coordinated through Tuck Bridge at the Hanover Inn Dartmouth for an additional subsidized fee of $3,000.
