What Should I Bring?
We will provide all course materials and books when you arrive.
Please bring the following items with you:
• Backpack
• Swag from your institution (t-shirt, sweater, hat, etc) for a group photo op!
• Study materials (pens, paper, folders, etc.)
• Laptop computer
• 1-2 business suits (Men: Suit and tie; Women: Suitcoat with dress/button down/skirt/dress pants)
• Outdoor clothing (running shoes or hiking boots, long trousers and long sleeve shirt, wind breaker/raincoat, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, small backpack).
• Quarters for laundry and laundry detergent

Dress Code Requirements
The dress code for the program is casual however you will need to bring at least one business formal outfit with you for specific occasions including the class photo, final presentations and interviewing with recruiters.

Women: Suitcoat with dress/button down/skirt/dress pantsThe summer weather in Hanover and the Upper Valley is warm, with temperatures averaging from low 70s to high-80s, with occasional rain. Most of the school is air-conditioned, so you may find it more comfortable to dress in layers.
An Outdoor Team Building exercise is scheduled during the program. For this program you will need running shoes or hiking boots, long trousers and long sleeve shirt, wind breaker/raincoat and sunhat. You may also wish to bring a small backpack with you that day. Please check Canvas for a complete overview of the Outdoor Program day.

Take I-93 North past the Manchester, NH., toll booth to Concord, NH.Take I-89 North to I-91 north to Exit 13 (Norwich, VT/Hanover, NH).

Continue up the hill on Wheelock Street to traffic light.

MANCHESTER-BOSTON REGIONAL AIRPORT (Manchester, NH): About 80 miles southeast of Hanover. Rental cars are available. BOSTON LOGAN AIRPORT (Boston, MA): About 120 miles southeast of Hanover. Rental cars are available. From the airport, drive through the Callahan Tunnel, follow signs to I-93 north, then follow the "By Car" directions from Boston above.
Dartmouth Coach provides bus transportation from Logan Airport and from Boston's South Station to the Hanover Inn on the Dartmouth campus. For more information, see directions below.
BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL FIELD (Hartford, CT): About 150 miles, or 2-1/2 hours driving time, from campus. All rental car agencies are available as well as car service.
LEBANON AIRPORT: The Lebanon Airport offers daily service between Lebanon, N.H. and Boston via Cape Air. The airport is located about 10 miles from Hanover. Taxi service and rental cars are available.

From Boston:
DARTMOUTH COACH offers daily service to the Hanover Inn from Boston's Logan Airport and South Station (1-800-637-0123).GREYHOUND provides service to the bus station in nearby White River Junction, VT, about five miles from campus; taxi service is available. (1-800-231-2222).
From New York City:
DARTMOUTH COACH offers luxury motorcoach service between the Yale Club in Midtown Manhattan and the Hanover Inn (one stop in Stamford, CT). DIRECTIONS BY TRAIN
AMTRAK provides daily passenger service from Washington, Philadelphia, New York, and intermediate points to nearby White River Junction, VT, which is about five miles from campus; taxi service is available.LOCAL BUS SERVICE
ADVANCE TRANSIT is a local bus service that serves the Upper Valley region, including Hanover. All are welcome to ride the buses free of charge. Advance Transit also provides shuttle service around campus, including buses to and from remote parking lots. -

Parking
There is a $70 fee to park your car at Tuck during the program. Personal cars are not necessary to have on campus with you. If you do choose to bring a vehicle, you will need to register your car by filling out the parking section on the Program Registration Form. You will be given a parking permit to the LEDYARD parking lot during Registration on the first day of Bridge. Transportation will be provided for all off-campus group events.
On registration day, you may load and unload in the dorm circle.
Visitors are encouraged to park in the college's Dewey Field lot and take the campus shuttle bus to and from Tuck. There are a limited number of spaces for visitors—and spaces reserved for those with disabilities—directly opposite Tuck Hall.

DAILY OVERVIEWHere is a typical day at Bridge (all times are approximate):
7:15-8:30 am: Breakfast, Byrne Hall

11:45 am–1 pm: Lunch and Career Development Programs
1–4:15 pm: Afternoon classes (with PM break)
5–7 pm: Dinner
7–10 pm: Study Group meetingsYou will be busy with homework, study group meetings, and review sessions in the evenings. During the program, you will work on a comprehensive valuation project. The project concludes with presentations on the last day of the program, right before the Bridge graduation luncheon.
In order to satisfactorily complete the program, you must be present at the project presentations on the morning of the last day. There is a closing Graduation luncheon after the presentations. The program will conclude around 1pm. Famillies are welcome to attend the final presentations and the graduation luncheon. Please RSVP with the Bridge Program office if you plan to have guests on the last day.
Students will need to be completely moved out of the dorms by 2pm on the last day.

Attendance Policy
Full participation in Bridge is expected and required in order to receive a completion certificate.
Attendance at class and study group meetings is mandatory, unexcused absences will not be tolerated.
In the event of illness or extenuating circumstances please notify a Bridge staff member prior to your absence. Students are also responsible for communicating absences to faculty, your BA, and study group, as well as completing any missed work. If your situation requires you to miss multiple classes, consult a Bridge staff member immediately. Failure to adhere to this attendance policy may result in dismissal from the program without a completion certificate.
ON-CAMPUS INFORMATION

Meals
You will be given a meal card at registration. This card has an allocated amount of money on it. If you use up your monetary allotment prior to the end of the program please see a member of the Bridge staff. Breakfasts and lunches are normally eaten in Byrne Hall, Tuck’s dining facility. Some meals will be at other locations as a group.
The Byrne Dining Hall is open Monday through Thursday, 7:15am to 7:30pm. Byrne Dining Hall will be closed at 4pm on Fridays. On the weekends and during off hours, your meal card can be used at any of Dartmouth’s other dining facilities.

Housing
HOUSING:
Provided from Monday, July 8 at 9am until Wednesday, July 29 at 2pm.IMPORTANT: Since we share our space with other Dartmouth and Tuck programs, rooms will not be available before or after the Bridge program dates. If you arrive before your program’s start date, you will need to make other arrangements for accommodations.
During the Bridge program, you will stay on Tuck’s campus in one of three residence halls: Whittemore, Pineau-Valencienne or Achtmeyer Halls. All are adjacent to Byrne Hall, where most of your classes will be held. All residents will have a single air-conditioned room with private bathroom. You will be informed of your housing assignment during registration day on the first day of the program. Special requests are not taken.
Towels, bed linens and blankets are provided for each room. Bathrooms and your dorm room are cleaned weekly by our custodial staff. Clean linens are available as needed. Each room is furnished with a mini-refrigerator, an alarm clock, and a telephone. You must supply your own toiletries.
The following are PROHIBITED in Residence Halls:
• Appliances for cooking (such as hot plates, electric grills, toasters, or other appliances with a heating element)
• Air conditioners and electric heaters
• Water beds
• Pets
• Firearms
• Permanent alterations to décor
• Halogen lamps
• Tape, contact paper, or other adhesive on walls
• Soliciting, peddling, or advertising for any commercial purpose on bulletin boards, walls or doors
• Tampering with or destroying fire safety and fire prevention equipment
• Removing furniture from your room
• Open flame
• Smoking or using illegal drugs
• AlcoholROOM CARE
If you fail to maintain a reasonable standard of cleanliness and safety, you will be required to correct the condition or be asked to vacate the room. On your scheduled restroom cleaning days please remove personal items from showers and sinks. Our custodians are required to clean these areas and are not responsible for broken or wet items. The College reserves the right to enter and to inspect any student room at any time without permission or consent of the room occupant to provide emergency service or general maintenance work, make safety or condition inspections or investigate probable violations of College regulations. You are liable for any damage and/or loss to your room or furnishings beyond what is considered normal wear and tear.The charges of typical dorm damages are as follows:
Damage requiring patching and or painting to one or two walls $300.
Damage requiring painting of an entire room $500.
requiring replacement of carpet $500.
Damage requiring replacement of mattress $500.
Damage requiring plumbing, electrical, or mechanical service $55/hour.
Loss of any item of dorm furniture provided by Tuck $500/item.
Loss of refrigerators or lamps $200 each.ROOM ACCESS & KEYS
Students should lock their doors at all times. You will be issued a single key to your room. If you lose this key during the program, you will be given a replacement key by the Bridge Staff until your room is rekeyed. If your lost key is not returned within 48 hours, a work order will be submitted to rekey your room. You will be notified that the rekeying has taken place by a placard left on your door by the locksmith. You will need to contact the Bridge Staff to pay $100 in cash or personal check to Dartmouth College for the rekeying of your room and to pick up your new key. All other keys issued will be $10 per key for replacements. -

Computing
COMPUTERS
We require each Bridge participant to bring a laptop computer with you when you come to Tuck. The entire Dartmouth campus, including Tuck, has wireless internet access.The Tuck Information Technology Office will not be able to service any personal laptops during your time at Tuck. If you have any problems with your personal computer, the Bridge staff can provide information for local computer support. Loaner laptops may be available if your computer needs to be repaired.
CANVAS (Course Management System)
Prior to your arrival and during the program, you will be using a web-based course management system called Canvas. You can find most of your course materials and other resources on Canvas. Canvas will also be your main form of communication with your classmates and faculty and staff.You will be sent login information for Canvas prior to the program.
PRINTING
TuckPrint is the public printing system created to help control waste and improve printing services for Dartmouth students. You will be required to download the TuckPrint software onto your computer. Information will be shared when you receive Canvas access in the coming weeks.There will be printing stations throughout Tuck that you can print to from your personal computer once the software has been downloaded. Instructions will be found on Canvas. We will also run a TuckPrint workshop on the first day of the program. If you plan on extensive printing from your dorm room, we recommend that you bring a small personal printer.

Tuck Gym
You will have access to the Tuck Gym located in the basement level of the Whittemore residence hall. You will need to sign the waiver (found within the registration form) to get access to the gym with your campus access card.

Laundry
There are coin-operated laundry machines available in the residence halls. In Achtmeyer and Pineau-Valencienne machines are located in the second and third floor kitchens. In Whittemore there are machines located in the basement—your access card is required to open the door.

Alcohol & Drug Policy
Once you have access to Canvas, you will be asked to sign and submit an honor code form BEFORE arriving at Tuck. See the "Waiver and Honor Code" section to view the documents.
All Bridge students are prohibited from possessing or consuming any alcoholic beverage, including beer, wine, spirits, or other alcoholic beverage, in any indoor or outdoor area of the Tuck campus, including the residence hall rooms, the courtyards, the classrooms, and the dining halls. Public intoxication is prohibited. Alcoholic beverages may not be sold, served, or consumed at social functions by or to Bridge students. These policies apply to all Bridge students, regardless of your age.
Bridge students are prohibited from possessing or consuming illicit drugs, including prescription drugs not prescribed for the student, in any indoor or outdoor area of the Tuck campus, including the residence hall rooms, the courtyards, the classrooms, and the dining halls.
Students found intoxicated, consuming, or possessing alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs on Tuck’s campus will be subject to disciplinary action by the Bridge Program Disciplinary Committee. In addition, any violation of Dartmouth College’s alcohol and drug policy by a Bridge student who is also enrolled at Dartmouth will be reported to the Vice Provost for Student Affairs of Dartmouth College.
Electronic cigarettes of any kind are prohibited in all Tuck buildings.

LACORTE FITNESS ROOM AND GYM AT TUCK
The LaCorte Fitness Room and Gym is open from 6am to 12am. and is located on the ground floor of Whittemore Hall. It provides aerobic equipment, such as treadmills, an elliptical trainer, stair-climbers, and bikes, as well as circuit weights by Bodymaster. Users are required to sign a waiver of liability before using the center (found on Canvas). This facility is available to students, faculty, and staff. The gym is conveniently located on the Tuck campus in Whittemore Hall.DARTMOUTH ATHLETIC FACILITIES
Bridge students may have access to Dartmouth’s Alumni Gym. You may only sign up for a gym pass the first day of the program. Most of the athletic facilities are located in and around the Alumni Gym and the Berry Sports Center on East Wheelock Street, about a mile from the Tuck campus. Alumni Gym Fitness Center
The Fitness Center features cardio fitness machines. On the mezzanine at the north end are free weights. With a graceful ramp at the front of the gym and a new elevator, the entire Fitness Center is fully handicap accessible. For more information, call 603-646-3284.Dartmouth Outing Club (DOC)

There are two measured running tracks at the college. A 220-yard, synthetic-surface track is located in Leverone Field House, and a 400-meter Rubaturf track surrounds the varsity football field at Memorial Field. There is also a rubberized synthetic-surface track in the west wing of Alumni Gym.Swimming
The Karl Michael and Spaulding swimming pools in Alumni Gym (603-646-3074) have a total of fifteen 25-yard lanes as well as two 50-meter lanes. The pool's diving area features one- and three-meter boards, with Durafirm and Maxiflex equipment, and a water well 12 to 14-1/2 feet deep. The pools are available free of charge to all students. There are 18 outdoor courts for use by the college community. Six doubles courts and three singles courts are located in the immediate vicinity of the gym, and another three doubles courts are located on Valley Road.
