Exploring New Career Pathways Through the Tuck Business Bridge Program

Exploring New Career Pathways Through the Tuck Business Bridge Program

  • 20 Feb 2026

From building trust within teams, discovering creative career paths in business, and developing a sense of “radical accountability”, Dominique Quiñonez D’28, Bridge’25 shares key lessons from the Tuck Business Bridge Program that are shaping her undergraduate experience and future career goals.

Can you share any key takeaways from the Tuck Bridge capstone project?

One of my main takeaways from the Tuck Business Bridge Program is that the most important foundations for a team are ego-free feedback and a safe culture of creativity. When members feel safe to fail, and others feel empowered to give and receive honest feedback, the group dynamic thrives.

Another key takeaway is to scratch whatever unconventional itch you may have when exploring a career path, not being afraid to explore the options that didn't originally grab your interest. Before attending, I thought the Tuck Bridge program would only appeal to people interested in a specific career path, like finance. However, I interacted with so many people in marketing, advertising, and communications who shared names of people to reach out to, programs to apply to, and even offered their individual help. Those connections have inspired me to lean further into the creative business industry, and the financial literacy I gained at Tuck Bridge has made me more multifaceted and prepared for the workplace than ever before.

How has your experience in Bridge shaped the way you think about your career after graduation?

My experience at Bridge changed the way I connect traditional business subjects to my creative goals. Business strategy was never a career I paid attention to until I took a course on it, realizing that it connects to my creative passions more than I thought. Instead of keeping my love for advertising and marketing separate from other subjects I learned at Bridge, I found ways to connect them and discovered new career pathways, like creative strategy, that I didn’t know existed before the program. Furthermore, taking the marketing courses at Bridge solidified my love for the industry, shining a more intuitive light on how intentionality in a message can benefit both the company and the customers. This core belief is something I want to emphasize as I think about my future career, helping me set a high standard for the impact I want to make in the marketing world.

Specifically, what real-world skills did you gain during Bridge that you’re excited to take into your career or next role?

I like to think of what I gained as a sense of “radical” accountability and empathy. In a high-speed environment like Tuck Bridge, you quickly realize that you are the driver of your own success. That means taking charge of every action and being equally receptive to feedback. That also means having grace for people and patience for when things may not turn out how you expect them to. Whether I was interacting with my professors, groupmates, or course material, I was constantly aware of my impact on the environment. This sense of ownership and integrity is a skill I am excited to bring to my career in human-centered marketing and advertising. When you lead with empathy, success stops being about the tasks completed and is about the genuine connections made.
